Congregate Dining, Referral Services, and Social and Wellness Activities for people 60+:

  • Congregate dining at noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on a reservation basis

  • Delivering food to the home-bound

  • Conducting several activities during the open hours

  • Organizing exercise classes

ABOUT US

Vernonia Senior Citizens dba Vernonia Senior Center, founded in 1967, provides activities and referral services to county agencies with support from our thrift store, Bargains on Bridge Street, donations from the community and our members, grants, and some reimbursement from government agencies for our meals program.  Our Vision is to work collaboratively to enable all older people to live a self-directed, rewarding life in a senior-friendly community.Our Mission is to be the focal point for senior services by promoting health, wellbeing, and independence through recreation, creative activity, support services and information.

VERNONIA SENIOR CENTER

We are a referral service to the county aging services. Our services run successfully, and we have managed our operations smoothly with the support of our thrift store Bargains on Bridge. Also, we get donations from our member’s supporters and get some support from government programs and grants.
